In this project, our case study focuses on Belum Rainforest Resort, we went to site visit and studied about that building. A research paper is produced individually. The title of my research paper is Using Natural Vegetation as a Sustainable Approach in Cooling and Humidifying to Achieve Effective Thermal Comfort in Belum Rainforest Resort.
Project 2 : Documentation Study
This project involves the study of streets in an Asian city to understand the historical and social aspects of a city by examining the development of tradition, modernization and globalization of streets. In a group, we have chosen to study Kesawan Square, a street full of historical heritage located in Medan, Indonesia.
From the selected street, we are to identify and capture any architecture elements as visuals/ symbols that construct the semiotic interpretation of the street, or its iconography.
A Photo book is produced with photo series and summary of research findings.

Upon completion of this project, I've identified a broad range of issues related to the historical and chronological transitions of Asian architectural history. I have better understanding about iconography, using a symbol to represent the street and historical development as well as the culture.
